First pic with 14-24

With everyone getting new bodies, I think that separate section for you to proudly display your first image from your new acquisition is in order.

This applies to brand new bodies, as well as bodies that are simply newly acquired by you.

Sorry kind of boring shots, but I wasn't taking a new lens out into a monsoon storm and associated humidity.

Now for some more landscapes! ... if it fines up on the weekend.

Nikon says it signifies Nano Crystal Coat, personnally I think it stands Nikkor Pricing. These lenses definitely have a difference to their light transmission abilities over other lenses I have, so there must be something in it.

funny things is, when i bought the 14-24 about four months ago, i was so excited with it.... but since then ive used it probably three times. I can't find a use for it at that wide a fov that the 24-70 can't do.

No, but I'd like a D3... Once I stop buying good glass I'll upgrade the D200. I'm not in a big hurry for the latest camera... well maybe just a little bit... OK I'm seriously thinking about either a D3 or D300 :D

24-70 is pretty much a permanent fixture on the camera, definitely the pick of the lens line up. I wanted the wider FOV as I found I was reaching back in the bag for my 18-200 to get that extra bit below 24mm.
