Perth Zoo has a programme to buy these bears and liberate them from their evil captors. Well they did last time I was there. I donated some money to help. I will definitely sign this petition.

Interesting that I did that given that I normally do not agree with imposing my values (or governments imposing their values) on others. There are some fairly significant cultural gaps between east and west. This is one of them.

I've heard it from my mom when we were still in Hong Kong (a while ago), that they keep the bears in cages that are barely their size and they have no room to move around at all and they periodically drain their bile. I didn't know what to do about it back then. And yeah, it's signed.

Also there are these dancing bears in India, I'd sign that too...
