Paper for Epson printers that are stickers ???I was not sure how to type the title for this thread?
I was wondering if anyone has run paper through their Epson printers which are stickers (I guess the same thing as labels?). I want them to be photo quality though. Anything? Cheers, Andrew Andrew
Nikon D3 and lot's of Nikon stuff!!
Re: Paper for Epson printers that are stickers ???I am very wary of printing direct to stickers/labels.
While it doesn't happen often, occasionally a label comes off and wraps itself around various parts of the printer. It can be a real PITA to recover the printer after this happens. You not only have to get the label off, but also the adhesive else the next sheet to go through also sticks & you have to go through it all again. I have known companies to write off a printer after this has happened on a laser. You might consider using your usual paper and turning it into a sticker using either double sided tape or spray adhesive. Of course if you are doing a run of 5,000 it may be worth taking the risk as the time saving if all goes well is enormous. Greg
It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: Paper for Epson printers that are stickers ???Hi, we use Avery label/sticker in our printer at work. print about 200 a day. (for the last 5 years) so far never had a label/sticker come off. Use them in HP, Kyocera and Canon printers.
So can't say for Epson. but at a guess I'd reckon you wont have a problem. ( but your mileage may vary. ) Harry Canon Bodies, Canon Lenses, Manfrotto Tripods. + Other Gear.
Re: Paper for Epson printers that are stickers ???Mounting double sided adhesive sheet is really the best way to go. You'll achieve your photo finish from your quality photo paper and the self-adhesive from the D/S sheet you apply.
If you have trouble getting sheet, then sendme a pm with the amount you need and I may be able to source it from my supplier. I cannot give the name here as they are printing paper wholesalers only.... All I know, is that I don't know enough.....
