Why can't people be on time?..

I hate having to wait for people... *taps foot*...

but at least this time I had my camera with me... I was lazy though and took these shots without moving my ass off the bench...

I find this thread very unique, a woman complaining about others being late. Not to say that you are ever late Bindi , but I don't remember the last time my partner nor for that matter any woman in my circle of friends who has ever been "on time"

A great set 'o' shots :) 3&4 are my picks of the litter. I'm too paranoid to shoot people in public :(

Look at the pics

That might be why they are all shot from behind

Nice candids Sue.
Looks like West End - some really interesting characters in the street there.
I usually try to get over to the Gunshop for a hangover cure breakfast when i've had a night out in Brissie.

I get really paranoid taking candids too. How do people find taking them? Do you ever have people complain? I have often found shots that i thought were really good, but felt like i was invading peoples privacy a bit. Any advice?

It comes with time....and forcing yourself out of your comfort zone. Take little steps but take them often. Set goals for yourself...."I will approach one stranger every second day and ask them if I can take their picture. I will tell them I am studying photography"
After 3 months you will have conquered your reticence to photogaph people and grown as a photographer...and developed some people skills. Do it and post the results on the forum so we can all follow your progress. PS..Don't let rejections faze you. You will get some as we all do. Put them out of your mind and move on.
Regards

So do you ask before you take them all the time? It seems to sort of defeat the purpose sometimes. Or do you mean after you have captured it talk to them? I have done a few, and have had some decent results, but am always a bit hesitant. I'll try and do some more and post them here!

Nice photographs Bindii! I am glad they were late; otherwise you would have time to take them. I like best the second one. I have something similar to your first one, but I couldn't get rid of the left hand side so I abandoned the project thinking it was all too difficult - I like yours better. How did you managed the third one, did he realise you were taking his image?
