The aim is to pick 4 themes and everyone who wants to have a go at them can post up their 4 pics in the image section by midnight after the closing time and put a link from their thread into this thread.

Any DSLRusers Member who cares to can then vote for their favorite on the four themes and post up in this thread with any comments if they care to make them.

The Themes are:
Theme 1: ... something beginning with f
Theme 2: ... people
Theme 3: ... technology
Theme 4: ... multiple exposure

Voting lasts for 48 hours then i will tally up the votes and post up here.
If you win ... you get nothing but praise.
If you cheat ... you get nothing but Karma.
You cannot vote for your own pics.

Rules:
Pic must be taken in the Challenge Period by the entrant.
Any PP is allowed as the voters will say what is too much
Pic 800 on longest side.

We will start it at 5PM 28-03-08 and close it at 8AM Monday 31-03-08.
Pics to be entered by 12 midnight 31-03-08
voteing to be from 12 midnight 31-03-08 to 12 midnight 02-04-08

Don't forget ... its just for fun so even if you didn't get a fantastic pic for a theme ... post it up anyway

actually i have all the themes on scraps of paper and put them in a container then use the Giotto rocket blower to blow air at them until 4 themes fall out :lol:

and the resultant themes are in ....

Omg I actually remembered...

Alright.. I forgot about it really but just logged in and saw it... *phew*.. it will be interesting trying to get the pics though as I am flying to Sydney early tomorrow morning and driving back to Brisbane tomorrow night.. but I'll do my bestest...

My votes are:
Something Beginning with F: Bindii for "Fish"
People : Louie
Multiple Exposure: TonyT for Madison back & forth
Technology: Big Red

Louie's Flame was a close contender for F
I felt Technology in general was weak (mine included) I thought Colin's concept was good, but the photo itself held no interest for me.
Tony, just how did you get that double exposure so seamless? was it in camera, or PP? Or are they twins?
Louie's people has great action
Colin's daughter was "Person" rather than "people" otherwise it probably would have had my vote.
Again I liked the concept of Big Red's multiple, but I felt the execution was off. Too cluttered. Perhaps the reflections from the bonnet, or maybe it would have been better with one less bonnet shot.
I really do think Bindii had a worthy "Multiple Exposure", but she didn't include it in the comp.

My Votes for the comp are:

Theme 1: ... something beginning with f
= Louie, nicely done flame, could have been used for a multiple exposure as well.

Theme 2: ... people
= Bindi, like the shot but a bit brighter red would have been even better.

Theme 3: ... technology
= Mr Darcy, this theme was harder than i thought.

Theme 4: ... multiple exposure
= TonyT, great job on the multi.

My votes

Something beginning with f

Fish - Bingii
Louie was a close second.

People - Louie - liked the view over three levels.

Technology - Mr Darcy
Agreed it was a difficult theme.

Multi exposure - Colin_12
Again another difficult theme.

With regards to the comments on my multi exposure shot of Miss Madison (granddaughter), there is only one Miss Madsion and we're happy about that and so is her mother.

Mounted on a tripod, manual exposure, put in CS3, superimposed over first picture, erased over top layer to reveal second Madison, curved layer to lighten shadows.

Thanks to Big Red for organising this and looking forward to the next challenge this month.

Theme 1: ... something beginning with f - Bindii (Fish)
Theme 2: ... people - Tony (Westfield belconnen)
Theme 3: ... technology - Mr darcy
Theme 4: ... multiple exposure - Tony - (madison back and forth) v hard to make a choice in this category though liked them all.

Hopefully get into gear for the next challenge.

I had plans for Wednesday night.

I was going to set up my new modem, log on to DSLR users, check out all the weekender entries and submit my votes.
