2005 Brisbane Motorshow 2Following the big post from newcomer Shane (sikx5) I thought I would post my first processed effort from the brisbane motorshow.
I wasn't sure whether they would welcome people taking lots of photos but in fact there were photographers of all kinds (P&S, mobile phones, SLRs) at every car. And people were very careful to walk around you as you sprawled on the ground to get that perfect grill image. I felt more comfortable shooting there than any other place I've been to lately Edit: Link for slightly larger pic http://leigh999.fotopic.net/p11960019.html PS is this a good size image for people to comment on the photo without blowing our your downloads?
excellent work on this. think you've really done a good job going the extra mile to make it an artpiece.
I'm no expert but IMHO the borders are an excellent idea which I think provide a good step between the vibrant colours/sharp lines you have chosen in your images and the white canvas that flows between the three images.
Thanks for your feedback everybody
The images were all taken with the kit lens - I considered that as I was taking 'detail' shots I should get out my Tamron 70-300 but in reality if you used a longer lens people would just walk in front of you. So I stuck with the kit and got as close as I could. Hope I don't bore you with a variation on the theme - as much as I loved the BW shot I thought the triptych idea might hang together better if they were all detail shots and all strong colour - so here is my amended piece. Regards Rebecca
Rebecca... as usual your shots are spectacular... i like the first shots with the border... well done.
cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
Rebecca, the images are nice, but the copyright smack in the middle bothers me. I much prefer it on the bottom in a smaller font even if it was a more prominent watermark.
