I think it's a Finch ?? But i know good bokeh when i see it

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Never realised how much fun, (and just how difficult), bird photography is. i must say that now i'm in awe of how good some of you guys do this cos i found it quite hard, the little buggers just wont sit still !

300mmf4 + 1.7TC if you havent already noticed i just LOVE this lens. the sharpness is awesome, i'm stunned at how little the TC effects sharpness, and the bokeh is to die for. very happy i found one. :)

Rooz - great shot, producing beautiful bokeh. One of Nikon's best - IMHO.

I used this lens for about 2 years, and then purchased the AF-S 300mm f/2.8 ED II (Second hand - Mint Condition). Kept the lens, didn't have the heart to sell it. If I need a light weight setup this is it, with either the TC-14EII or TC-17EII. As with the 300mm f/2.8 I prefer the TC-14EII :)

mmmm...300/2.8.
some guy was shooting with the 200mm f2 on a d200 when i was at the zoo the other day. wow, wow, wow. what a beautiful piece of glass. i was actually quite surprised at how easy and comfortable it is to handhold despite its size and "girth"

I'm no bird expert but I asked for an ID on the same bird last time I visited the Zoo and someone on here told me its a Java Finch or sometimes known as a Java Sparrow. Lovely shot the bokeh is smooth and creamy.
