Re: Slider - Photographing the SunriseTwo things hit me straight away, firstly the lens flare, which some people do like, and the second my eye was drawn to the spots in the sky, would that be sensor marks by any chance or am I way off ??
But good composition and idea. Well done. D200, 17-55 f2.8, 50 f1.4, 80-200 2.8
Re: Slider - Photographing the SunriseLove it including the flare
Re: Slider - Photographing the Sunrise
My sensor certainly has dust bunnies and I was a bit lazy with this one. The lens flare I like in this particular shot given the inclusion of a photographer and the photgraphic theme Never had to clean my D2x sensor once and the D3 has dust bunnies already. Looks like I'm in the market for an "Arctic Butterfly" and Eclipse 2 and Sensor Swabs. Unless someone has suggestions of better methods? Bob

Re: Slider - Photographing the SunriseThe arctic butterfly seems very popular and to some extent safer than the other methods. I once screwed an S3 sensor cleaning it so I am once bitten twice shy when it comes to that part of my DSLR !
They only tend to appear when the lens is stopped down, but when they do they are frustrating. Good luck. D200, 17-55 f2.8, 50 f1.4, 80-200 2.8
Re: Slider - Photographing the SunriseI think the lens flare is a nice touch, however, it is a bit like "where's wally" when it comes to spotting the photographer as he blends in with the rocks.
Re: Slider - Photographing the Sunrise
Which is where I think a part of the charm of this image lies. Very nicely done. g.
