When you are bored

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Rel there is much to like about this image gorgeous woman :), the use of high key lighting is compelling, the B&W treatment and in general the composition. I do feel, however, an awkwardness in the image from a viewers standpoint, certainly mine, that centres on the pose.

Whilst i like the general perspective i would like to see just a little more(and i'm talking only a little) of the eyes, and i do appreciate the sense of mystery you were striving to achieve, and i think you have achieved this. However, my own eyes keep getting drawn downward toward 'puppy land' :) not that i mind in the least as there is much to like about that area of the image(however this may have to do with a gender or 'member of the other team' bias).

I think more experimentation with your right arm placement will yield great dividends certainly will from my perspective if i get to see more of you  sorry i meant more of your artistic portraits  :D

I don't know if this makes any sense? Jokes aside I like your image and the concept (Mystery and sensuality) Rel.
Oh, I like it when you're bored :)
cheers

LOL - it's ok Marco - it's pretty crappy ( I know that ) but part of being in the forum is posting stuff that isn't great and learning from itLOL. I had been working on a report for hours, and was bored s**tless, so played for 1/2 hour :) I had the camera on a tripod, would prefocus (well, guess), hit the shutter on timer, bolt to the chair and 'play' :) You all know that I take pretty shocking 'people' photos - now if I had of been a frog, well, the photo would have been fabulous ;)

Thank you for your critique :) :), and glad you liked the puppies
and man, do I love photoshop ;)

I like it very much. :)

I agree with Marco's comments that the image is cropped too close to the eyes, and this is probably as a result of having to set the timer and then construct the pose.

I see a large canvas print hanging on the bedroom wall. (Yours, I mean  )

Although the bottom part of this image is ‘messy’, and I don’t mean the ‘puppies’, the top of the photo of your face, is superb.
