For those that are interested, here's a few teaser pics from today's trip to the Wetlands in Newcastle...
Of course, we had a duck guide
Off to see the world...
Those natives aren't a very friendly bunch!
There were birds...
...And some butterflies:
...BUT NO RAIN!
More to come when I get them sorted (maybe tomorrow)...

Excellent, the Ibis are nice and sharp. Good work on the butterfly. Matt and Philo look like they are on a safari. Peter looks like an old Pro. That guy in the camoflage is a good looking fella.

Nice pics from you as usual sheepie! sorry I didn't make it! I know you guys had lot of fun!
Weather is the one stopped me! Not rain but then too hot yesterday and my gears are so heavy then yours, if I've gone up, and lug all my gears, I perhaps not survive too long under the the hot and humidity, over 40 degree.

Sheepie
The butterfly is a great capture. Fantastic detail and beautifully lit. I'm also impressed with the ibis shots. You did better than me - I'm not happy with any of my in flight shots I need more practice or slower birds (or both)
Not sure about the one of the guy with the duck
Look forward to the rest of your pics.
Cheers

I'm blushing it's impossible to even come near birddog's hospitality.
I agree the reeds are the best shot, but the butterfly comes damn close.

Sheepie. Number 8 (reflections) is bloody good too. I like the framing with the reeds in the foreground. I think this makes the shot.
I have one question though - where are all the ducks?
