The main problem I would see with this lens is that while it lets you stay a long way from the subject, you are greatly increasing the amount of air through which the light has to pass which may degrade the quality of the image - particularly with heat and/or humidity.

not to mention the blurry images from the whack over the head by your missus for buying the damn thing :mrgreen:

I'm sure the price would be astronomical which funnily enough would be the lenses main purpose. ;)
