Good place to buy printersCan anyone recommend a good place to buy a photo printer in the Melbourne area? I'm looking for an Epson R1800 or the like. I've priced at Harvey Norman but am looking for some better deals. Interestingly I can save a bit of money buying from the US, even including the $usd250 shipping.

Re: Good place to buy printers
but remember when you buy from overseas you have no warranty, so you would want to make sure it is a fail-safe printer or otherwise you've lost your few hunderd dollars. Have you tried somewhere like Bing lee, Dick Smith, Good Guys. Places like that usually price match, so if you can find a better deal then they have they will usually price match and maybe give a little extra off. Cheers,

Re: Good place to buy printersThere should be some good deals on the R1800 now it's been superceeded by the R1900
Hardly Normals often price match, even imported stuff. Just show them what you can buy if for include postage and currency conversion, i.e. show them the true price you were going to pay and they will usually match it. Take in a print out to show them, don't make up a price and ask for a match. They were great when I bought my last printer.
