Keep him in your thoughts

Postby Raskill on Mon Apr 28, 2008 9:12 pm

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if you could keep my nephew, Findlay, in your thoughts.

The little man is under-going a double bypass next week at Westmead Childrens Hospital. This is his third major heart surgery and second double bypass.

He's a strong little man, full of life and joy.

You can follow his journey here

Fortunately, he may be too young to understand the seriousness of what he is going through and therefore not be too scared as adults may be - all speed for a fast and thorough recovery.

Best of luck little matey! You'll do amazing things!

And to his parents and close relatives the same, he's a little tacker and little tackers are always tougher than they look and let on (as those with little tackers know all too well). Plus he likes pirates, not sure about the Scotland rugby jersey though!

Thanks for the comments folks, it's a great community this one!

Findlay is currently having his surgery, and should, all things going well, be out of surgery mid afternoon.

Fingers and toes all crossed. I'm stressed, I can't imagine how his mum and dad are feeling :(

Hi folks,

Just a quick update. My nephew Fin has come through his surgery well. He should be off his ventilator and breathing for himself by now. The surgeon was very happy with how things went.

Thanks to you all for your kind thoughts.

Cheers,

Alan.
