That is so true, better equipment is wasted if you don't know how to use it, or have no skill at all. Not that I think either of those are true in your case. PS. I think the SX100 would probably make you a very poor photographer, you will have to switch camps!!!

The test and points marking criteria have always seemed to be "obtuse"?

Pardon me for saying that the any product recommended or suggested by Choice would be something I would look at with some trepidation.

Many years ago a company I worked for produced a product that was manufactured on one production line then rebadged for three different companies. Different front and different label otherwise identical.

These three "different" products were tested by Choice - 'nuff said.
The funny thing was that even the consumers preferred one brand over another - (Better brand reputation)
