Wendell,

I would not expect that this is something that you would ordinarily find on ebay.

They're a standard inclusion in the SB800 kit as distributed by Nikon, and I suspect that replacements would probably need to be sourced through Nikon Oz, rather than through ebay.

You can buy them as spare parts as SD800. And I know you can source them easily, like Adorama.

Just sending through my two thumbs up for Nikon support in Sydney (service@nikon.com.au). I found them very quick to respond with parts availability, and also found their postage quite good (<$10, overnight express).

Wendell - the easiest solution to your dilemma is to lose the SB800’s and start over  :cough:

awesome, now i know the best place to get stuff if i lose it, maybe it will be faster than gettin it through the shop i work at. i ordered a DK-23 about a month back and it still hasnt arrived, i ended up gettin my sister to get me one whilst she was in new york.

Hi all,

I received the battery door for the D200 today - all is good.
Please understand that Nikon Spare Parts is for spare parts - not for accessories.
So before you make any enquiries to NIKON spare parts, perhaps make sure that is is
not an accessory that you are trying to get.

Thanks, NIKON will appreciate that.

That is true, spare parts should only be contacted about spare parts.

Just a question about what is considered to be a spare part then. The DK-23 is the rubber eyepiece that comes with the D300, so if it was lost would it be classed as a spare part or an accessory?

What about lens caps (front/rear), body caps, camera straps?

Hi,

well, the experience I had when enquiring about the battery door at one of our local nikon dealerships
was, that the lady had a catalogue, list of accessories and she couldn't find the battery door.
However she found other things such as eye pieces and things like that.
So I guess please contact your local Nikon dealer first before you contact Nikon direct.
I'd just like to say that the spare parts department schould only be contacted if it is about a spare part, yes :)

Thanks everyone,

cheers,

So I guess anything that can be found on a dealer's price list/catalogue should not be asked for at Nikon Spare Parts?

I know that I can order lens caps (front def, have to check rear) and those eyepieces through the shop, so I would assume that I should not call Spare Parts about that then. I think I can order body caps as well.

I guess this is fair.
