I actually prefer the feeling i get from the d80. I can't have fun with the d300, if i pick it up, i'm using it earn money or be pro. it just doesn't feel like something i can relax in. It's sort of the the same with a road going sports car, and a track prepared racecar.

With you there Seeto....

BUT the D80 is oh so much lighter and easy to carry around, and still has the good solid feeling. I know I would use both if I had a D80, (I would still use my D40x a lot if I still had it, just for the portability and the 2nd body is always good to have) PS. bump up the sharpening in your colour spaces, you wont regret doing so, esp with that 18-200VR, about 8 should do it.

:) Maybe we can both win? I'll throw my 70-200 on your D300, then we can take turns at drooling!

Your on!!! I have often had this config (Seeto and Ozclick have the kit) but any chance to use a 70-200 is a big drool factor for me!! You wouldnt happen to have any 85mm's would u?

Again?

Always, truth be told.

Actually, that's not quite true. I usually have to stretch up to reach the gutter. :)

My D300 arrived last week and I had a bit of a chuckle as my reaction was very similar.

Also got the 70-200 VR and bounced off the walls for a few days with excitement.

Haven't had a chance to have a good play with the new gear but so far it is like chalk and cheese from the D70. Amazing how far the technology has come in a short time.
