Hello all,

I have just obtained a copy of "Simply Peter Dombrovskis" a compilation of his photographs. It was first published in 2006 and shows why he was one of our great photographers. I have spent several hours just enjoying his images. It now joins its soul mate "The World of Olegas Truchanas", which I bought in I think 1979, on my bookcase.

These two photographers (both immigrants to our land) were key to a change in the way we saw our own country, and the way we valued it.

If any of you have not seen their work, it is well worth the time.

Philip

There is a also a good documentary called "Wildness" (2003) that covers the lives of Olegas Truchanas and Peter Dombrovskis. In theory there is a clip available on the ABC website, but it isn't working for me at the moment.
