Re: Ordinarly LifeWow Nigell,
This is brilliantly executed and amazing to look at, and errr..it's two handles and a tap...well done!!! In a quirky kinda way, when I look at it for long enough, I imagine the two handles as eyes, with the pupils being the C and the absent H, and the mouth/nose as the tap. The texture of the wall in which they are in only add to it. I really like this...thanks for sharing. Geoff

Re: Ordinarly LifeI'm going to be really picky here and say i don't like the shadows under the spout. The shadows under the tap are fine, but not the spout.
Re: Ordinarly LifeThanks for the comments guys.
Re: Ordinarly LifeIts certainly a challenge (at least for me) to shoot the ordinary in a way which gives it life and a sense other than "ordinary". It didn't start out a project, but the challenge it posed to how I shoot was something I really enjoyed. So a project was born. Thanks for the comments guys.

Re: Ordinarly LifeNice work!! Great lighting..
Can I ask whether the texture was added later? if not how did you get it to stand out like that.
Re: Ordinarly Lifenice image, it really brings to life something that is everyday.
Re: Ordinarly Life
The texture is real. That's what the taps are attached to. I suspect age allows it to really stand out like it does; so there are a lot of cracks and colour changes in it. I think of it like shooting a portrait of an old person. Not that pretty to look at, but always interesting.
Re: Ordinarly LifeThat is really cool. The exposure, lighting, texture and subject is great.
