Straighten horizon ...Benny - I've used your shot to illustrate what I meant, but if you like, I'll replace it with something else ...
Using crop tool select a small section ... Put the cursor near the corner of the selection and it will turn into a circular arrow which allows you to rotate the section - I move the section and rotate it to match the horizon The drag each of the corners of the selection out to the edges of the canvas - you will loose edges (how much depends on how much of a slant your horizon is on) When you are happy, click on the tick to accept the crop changes and then you have a straight horizon - just the way I do it Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Re: Straighten horizon ...Without trying to steal anybody's thunder, I'd suggest another tip when one doesn't what to loose much of the image by cropping.
Use the ruler as descibed above. Select the whole image and use one of the tranform tools - dragging the appropriate corner til the horizon lines up with the ruler. This way you only lose from one corner rather than the whole image. Of course it' a bit of "horses for courses" which way you choose Regards Bob

Re: Straighten horizon ...I used the ruler tool in Lightroom for my #1 Newcastle shot in the Images section, very easy to use... just drag across the horizon and it will make that line perfectly horizontal and level...
Re: Straighten horizon ...Dare I suggest an even easier method?
How about looking through the viewfinder when making the image, and getting it right in the camera? g.

Re: Straighten horizon ...In the crop view in the develop section. It's the straighten tool (think it may be a spirit level rather than a ruler... )
