Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Picture Of The Week - July 15, 2008

I don't appear very much lately... that's because of TV production so enjoy the bits of me while you still can (I fear the next time I might be ever present on the forum is when I have a review copy D700) but when I do come, I do enjoy seeing the ever growing supply of talent this forum seems to push out.

I'm not sure how many of you are learning anything, but daaaammmmnnn... some of you are getting good.

And some of you are even getting great. One of which is Rooz, who wins this week's Picture Of The Week.

I'm not normally one for kid shots, but this is fantastic. A nice black & white with excellent detail.

THE EYES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! It reminds me of "If the eyes are the windows to your soul ..." - then this kid has an incredibly beautiful soul. :) It's a great choice!

The reflections in the eyes have elevated it from another 'kiddie pic' to something special.
