Kameraltı PazarI'm spending some time in Izmir, a city on the south west coast of Turkey, and enjoying the photographic opportunities
Here are a couple of shots taken at the Kameraltı marketplace - which is a bit like Paddy's on steroids. This man was kind enough to let me photograph him as he kicked back and enjoyed an afternoon cigarette. Re: Kameraltı PazarLove the images, the lighting on the first is really good, it just really works over the whole image. I also like it more than the second one due to the candid feel that we are getting a peek into his world without his knowledge.
Re: Kameraltı Pazarthanks bwinnen. there's a couple of hot-spots on the first that i couldn't reduce fully in post. not sure if they're distracting or not. but, yeah, the candid feel of the first is nice - though, of course, after i'd made my presence known, i had to ask him to look away from the camera. he actually thought i was asking him to move out of frame (my turkish isn't so good...)
Re: Kameraltı PazarExcellent shots Carla. I actually put #2 at the head as that gentleman has a definitive cheeky look

Re: Kameraltı PazarWelcome Carla, both have a very nice feel for the reasons stated above. I prefer the composition of the first. Look forward to seeing more images from your trip.

Re: Kameraltı Pazargreat stuff Carla. Love the composition of the second pic, is that the original crop or did you re-crop it as his hand is a bit tight to the right side of the image. Otherwise brilliant

Thanks PiroStich! Yes, i did re-crop, and didn't notice the tightness but you're right. Have adjusted. Thanks for the tip
