[*]Been kicking the idea of grabing some P/W's for some time, finally decided to grab a couple, was concerned with the claims that they could trigger flashes up to 1600 feet, still have my doubt's in that department, but my ambitions where to shoot with a 400 2.8 lens at about 200-300 feet.

First test this weekend and I could'nt be happier, managed to get 3-4 shot burst's with the flash set to manual at about half power, the 400 is great with available light but sometimes just a hint of extra light is needed, I have found the solution, the pic below is with one SB800, so by the third shot the car is out of the light range. Hopefully Poon has another SB800 in the mail, another P/W and I reckon I'll have it nailed. Looking forward to the comming Nationals in mid September, bring on group one.

Great shot and well done. Another unit to give you a bigger window to shoot in will really seal the deal. Then you need to just need to make friends with Jeff @ Servaas to keep everything full of batteries!

Great shot and a great example of a extra range and reliability that comes in handy with the PWs.. For all other amateur needs ebay triggers work just as well..

I have been trying with these, but you really struggle to even go beyond 50ft range with the low powered radio triggers... If working with 200-300 ft distance, PWs are really the strong point.

I have also had major issues with my 430EX mis-firing... But for me it's been $60 well spent for these ebay triggers..

Pocket Wizards will cost you a bit more than $60.00, but, in test so far they have worked every time.

PocketWizards are awesome, I wish I had my own instead of having to borrow from friends all the time. If you can get a good deal on a set, grab it without a thought is what I say!
