mine 8000. on D80.

is there a way that the camera store can reset the counter to zero? because when i get back to the very first shot (which is on the store counter) the exif read it as count 1.

i bought mine here in hong kong in mongkok.

Purchased D200 in Feb 06. Shutter count (I think) is 29817.

I just checked mine, somewhat shocked at how little I've shot on my D40 since early 2007, just over 7000 actuations... then again I never shot anywhere near that many photos in all my years of film prior hehe.

Hi.. this is my first post...

D70 -Purchased Feb 2005 shutter replaced once.. current count on new shutter - 39166
D70 -Purchased August 2005 - complete shutter failure and ccd damage June 2007 - count unknown due to firmware upgrade but estimate over 100000

D80 - 1year old - just retired this month due to shutter getting louder and aperture preview button causing mirror to lift (which I have found to indicate a failing shutter) - 106902
D80 - 1year old - still running, but had a whacking great Green hot pixel - 32659

D3 - Arrived in post July 29 2008... current shots as of August 8 2008 - 18507

I'll update you on the D3 next week... but I estimate adding somewhere around 15000 - 16000 shots

EDIT:.... oh.. and no, I dont fire on continuous 8)

Welcome TZI, I must say your use of the D3 is quite amazing. May I ask what added 15K worth of shots? It sounds like a busy couple of weeks to get that number up. :D

I just downloaded Irfan View to check the values on my cameras and I'm not sure that I trust it's accuracy.

It's telling me that I have only shot 27295 ish shot on my D200, but my file sequencing is now at SDG7134. I control my image duplication problems by changing the middle letter each time I get to about 9900ish exposures, and I started at SAG0001. By all rights, I should be closer to 37000 exposures???

What do you all think?

I'm yet to check my D2x, but it will be much higher.

Cheers

If you are on a mac to get your shutter actuations (for nikon anyway) open a photo in preview (even an nef) go to tools > inspector > info > nikon and shutter count is near the bottom. Found this in a mac mag.

Well this has me totally confused. I spent 3 hours last night listening to my shutter and not once did I hear it count :rotfl2:
