RRS group buy

Postby PiroStitch on Mon Jun 02, 2008 11:55 am

G'day,

I'm about to put together an order with RRS for an L bracket and ballhead. Does anybody else want to join in with a group order?

Cheers,

As discussed by PM with pirostitch, I'm going to order some parts from RRS within the next fortnight or so. I'm getting a couple of new L-plates, and piro will probably be getting a couple of things also, which leaves a bit of room in an order to get some other parts to share the shipping cost (especially if you're in Melbourne to simplify the on-shipping). If there's anything in the RRS catalog you're considering, give me a yell.

On a related note, I've listed some RRS L-plates in the For Sale forum (for the 30D, 350D, and Pro1).

As an aside to this, if you are every ordering gear from B&H and also want some Kirk plates, they sell a lot of the plates and the shipping is only an extra $1.20. Basically you are getting the plate with free shipping.

Good to know (I hadn't realised B&H carried Kirk gear).
However I much prefer the RRS L-plates over the Kirk ones.

I checked out the Kirk catalog recently, and the only item I'd go to Kirk for over RRS or Wimberley is the SS-1 strap (although I already have one) and it certainly makes it more convenient if it can be shipped with other B&H gear!
