Local Wetland BirdsHere's a few I've taken over the last week from my local Wetland reserve.
Nikon D300 & 200-400 VR. Purple Swamphen closeup. ISO 200, f/4, 1/100s @ 400. Male Chestnut Teals in motion blur glide. ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/125s, @ 450 (+1.4tc) Pacific Black Duck. Beautiful solos of the Swanphen, Black Duck and Teal. The motion shot doesn't do a lot for me, but the others are stunning. The Purple Swamphen in particular has wonderful saturation and contrast of colour with the vibrant red, purple/blue and greens. The sharpness of the Black Duck is fantastic -- is this manually focused or auto? Rob
