Re: random trip to wollongongi love the whole set. it really brings out the character of the gulls and i love the low angle you used.
talk about sharp and contrasty ! wow. great work. what lens are you using for these ? EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
Re: random trip to wollongongLol did you set the timer or remote shutter and then put some chips on top of the lens?
Re: random trip to wollongongLove the low angle shots... Were you 'bribing' them to come near you?
Re: random trip to wollongongthanks for the praise guys, appreciate it
ah yes, the remote was set on remote release. Camera was sitting on the grass with my wallet propping up the lens, trusted the camera's P mode for the exposures - I ended up getting 1/400s @ f11 or so. As for the lens, it was the Tokina 12-24mm @ somewhere between 12 and 18mm. Jase555, if you put the chips on top of the lens you'll get a greasy poop covered lens haha i was just tearing bits of leftover bread and tossing them in front of the lens. the shutter actually startled the gulls here's a few shots to explain a bit better. next time i think i'll try cockatoos.. -julz
