#1 is pretty good. I like the nice vibrant colour in the plane and water.

I find the first a little busy int he background. I do like the clean blue of the second.

this is from the beach/carpark just on the Sth side of the runways - accesible by heading Sth along Gen Holmes Dr, under airport tunnel, then just after M5 branches to the left there is a left hand turn lane. Most of the shots were taken at 300 from the car park, but if you walk down the beach you can get right up to the fence - a step ladder would come in handy to get unimpeded shots...

Also worth checking out (especially for some smaller domestic flights) is the north side, accesible from the beach on Foreshore drive.

i think i know which beach you're talking about.. the beach itself is pretty crap IMO
but its alright to walk on - hard and shelley though

if i remember right, its towards Brighton le-Sands isn't it?

surenj, i was thinking the exact same thing.. seems like a pretty easy place to get up close to the err.. target.

at any 1 time there are a number of photogs at the carpark, never have a problem there...
Once on the north side the security patrol stopped to check me out, probably for two reasons -
1. Not many people bother to walk up the beach to where you can get decent shots, so maybe I stood out...
2. I was practising my panning technique on the moving security ute... he probably thought it was suss that I was taking shots of security measures...
