Weekend 7 hrpremier

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Here you go. The image tags need a jpeg image link in them:

Michael.

Thanks for your efforts but I'm afraid I ended up being about 29 minutes to late for the weekender challenge. Doh. How do i put the jpeg tag on the end. Is it simply a matter of typing .jpeg after copying the link into the thread.

Again thanks for helping me out.

G'day hr,

The 'image' tag requires a link to a jpg file - whereas you originally used a link to a web page. Instead of using the url in the address at the top of your browser, you should right click the photo and 'copy target' or 'properties' etc to find the url of the actual image.

This is explained in a post here - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2789#p32059.

But I think most people have a little trouble at first!

Regarding the weekender seven - you may like to make a post in the main thread and see if Big Red will allow your late entry :) (it's a fairly relaxed challenge I think).

Good luck!

I like your boats - colourful and clean image.

(But for some reason...I don't enjoy the Borat undies!)

Jase,

No worries. We all have problems until we figure it out.

All I did was to copy the page address from your post and pasted it in a new browser window. That brought up a flickr page with your photo.
I right clicked on the photo and selected 'Copy image location' and pasted it back into your forum post.

Your original boat image post looked like this:
Code: Select all
[img]http://www.flickr.com/photos/29223454@N02/2732027020/[/img]

and I converted it to this:
Code: Select all
[img]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3187/2732027020_a78d181a7e.jpg?v=0[/img]

Don't worry about the "CODE" tags, I'm just using them so you can see what I have typed rather than have the image show up again...

You can play around with it to see how it is working by clicking the 'Preview' button before you finally submit your post.

Does Mrs HRPremier know you playing with her underware again?

Nice Boats, Boe looks like hes had a hard day but a touch out of focus (no enough Depth of field perhaps)

Do they play footy up there? :)

Cheers Mate
