Re: Beuaty Shots - Shay RyanWow dan you are working the ring light to great affect, as well as the rest of your lighting, I've been away from the forum for a bit, but your work has improved again since last time I saw it. Kudos to you, this stuff is top notch, well controlled and crafted.
My favourite is the first by the way. Nailed it!
Re: Beuaty Shots - Shay RyanDelicious!
love the ring light, you have it working well. the freaky lipgloss is a little too eyecatching, speaking of eyes, they are lovely, maybe (hard to know not having met Shay) pushed too alien like?
Re: Beauty Shots - Shay RyanThanks guys.....her eyes are an amazing feature
Re: Beauty Shots - Shay RyanLove #2 Dan. Working that ring light very nicely.

Re: Beauty Shots - Shay RyanI like these shots a lot.
Such a minor thing, but I find the light off the cheek and shoulder distracting (in #1 3 and 4) Or is this an intentional element that does actually 'work''? (Help me learn). D90, 50 mm 1.8, 18-70 mm, Sigma 10-20 mm, SB600
Re: Beauty Shots - Shay RyanThese are great! 1# is my favourite
Re: Beauty Shots - Shay Ryan
Intentional, rim lighting. Looks great http://www.lumensphotography.com
Nikon gear. D3x, D3s, D3 ... and lots of lenses.
Re: Beauty Shots - Shay RyanWow .....thanks so much for the comments
Dan
Re: Beauty Shots - Shay RyanNice captures and post processing. I like the use of side/ rim lights as well. I don't like No.3 as much mainly because of the lip gloss destraction.
