Wedge Tailed EagleAnother set from Symbio and another crack at the Wedgie. Still not completely satisfied with these but better than my last efforts. What i really wanna do is shoot from underneath him up into the sky to get a blue background and use some strobes. Any suggestions welcome.
300/4 + TC17. Larger versions on flickr, these pissy little sizes dont do the shots any justice. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
Re: Wedge Tailed Eagle#4 is a cracker.
IMO this one really captures the strength, beauty and 'majesty' of these great birds (tho' I'm sure not all farmers would agree!) Sounds like you will have a nice portfolio of wedgie pics once you get the million dollar shot you are cahsing! Good luck and enjoy the 'chase'. Great stuff R2
Re: Wedge Tailed EagleGreat image set Rooz. #2 is a terrific portrait. Tac sharp and great behavioural pose.
cheers marco
Re: Wedge Tailed Eaglegood series.......... the last shot works for me as it has a mean look. The tones of the background work in well and the hard lighting add to the overall feel, For your next shoot try very bright shade or an overcast day and flash fill
Cheers ....bp....
Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
Re: Wedge Tailed EagleAhhhhh Rooz -- magnifico. These are so nice I'm not prepared to choose any one as a favourite, especially when I look at the other three that were culled from flickr as well.
Now you want to take up gliding and have the pleasure of sharing thermals with them. They position themselves directly opposite the glider and they watch the pilot, not the moving ailerons, elevator or rudder, but the brain centre of the beast. Truly maginicent creatures. Keep posting shots like these please. Rob.
Re: Wedge Tailed EagleAwesome series of photos and as already mentioned topmarks on number 4. Save the best for last. Great work
