I use to be self-conscious that viewers would believe the photos were manipulated due to the colour variances between pics taken within minutes of each other.

curse these people who can get up before the sun ......I struggle even when in a campervan parked on the beach front

I like these pictures tho.....the foreground really does it for me. Can I suggest the straighting of the horizon? IMHO it seems just a little out...

(do i see a bit of polarizer in action there?)

While I've never captured shots like this, I do wish to do landscape photos such as this one day. So any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm taking this was a long exposure as the sea looks creamy. I wondered if you used an filters such as a grad-nd filter such as the cokin filter system with drop in square filters.

I've looked in the past and landed up at a site http://www.singh-ray.com/ which sells an amazing variety for the Cokin holder or larger sizes, but never actually bought any. Partly because it kinda sounds like you need several, and they cost over $100 each, but also because of the fear of buying the wrong filters. There is graduated and reverse, 1,2,3 stop, hard and soft, and god knows what other choices as well as cokin size or larger.

Well I guess there are lots of choices because there are lots of different situations. I have recently been using a 3 stop reverse ND Grad for the sunrise shots but I have the ND Grad soft and hard transition also. I intend getting some two stop soft transition as well in due course.
