Hi all

I've just learned of this site today from someone on the international Photowalk. The person who referred me recommended you highly as a group to join.
I've been living in Sydney now for 5 years. I have shot with a Pentax K1000 since the early 1990's I also got a used Pentax ME Super which was nice as it had split focus, which the k1000 doesn't have and which made it much easier for me to get good focus I wonder if I can get a split focus screen for the k1000 or use the ME screen in the K1000. The ME's shutter is dead, which I found out to my dismay when 50+ % of my photos of England didn't come out. Finally in 2006 I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D50. This Christmas I am upgrading to a D300 as a Christmas/birthday present. I just have to pay the difference between the d200 price and the d300 price.
Anyway I just wanted to say hi to everyone.
I am a student at UTS studying media Arts production, having previously completed a BA in Cinema back in San Francisco.
Cinema seems the perfect profession for me because I love photography and I love storytelling. So it combines both. I have also been trying to get some of my photos published. I entered and won the Stonewall Model photo competition, which I shot with a 2mp DV camera. Since then I have had interest from some local magazines, but have had a really rough past few years health wise, so I haven't gotten as much done as I would have liked.
Anyway. HI!!!! :D

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum.
Hope to see some of your photos soon.
P.S. better put a location in your profile before a mod notices :)

I lost my ICQ number so when I clicked submit it said invalid icq number where I had entered "lost my #" already got a message from a mod. How frustrating as I thought I'd done everything right.
