Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Guessing GameThe following shot was taken on New Years Eve from my balcony in Neutral Bay - the fireworks would been a couple of kilometres away. Shot at f/8 0.6 secs at 200mm on the D70. There has been no PP on the original RAW image other than to resize and save as a jpeg (it’s Adobe RGB1998 or II).
Basically I want to get impressions of the quality of the shot from forum members and then I will say what lens it was Chris

Chris,
Nothing altogether too sharp here, probably due mostly to the subject movement. g.

This lens is not in the class of Nikon 70-200 by a long shot. But, in saying that, I was quite please considering the distance and the exposure. With a little PP including USM it is very acceptable. Plus it was a couple of k’s away.
The lens is: the Sigma 55-200mm DC - as soon as I can afford the 70-200VR, and it is available again, this lens will be replaced. Chris
