Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

The 12 Apostles and a fog filled forest

Postby Underload on Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:37 am

I think I'm getting towards the end of the trip photos, but I've really enjoyed processing and posting them, and sharing them with you guys.

The Apostles were a bit of a challenge - everyone knows them - and didn't want "just another" touristy Apostles photo - pretty hard to avoid though.

I arrived a little early to try and find a good spot, but with the busloads of people pouring in...just gotta take what you can get. They're obviously in HDR, which I'm using less and less, but I still think it has its place (if only every now and again).

And the last is another image from the foggy morning up in Halls Gap. The small forum size image makes the crop look a bit odd - I think it makes a bit more sense when you see it in the larger size (link below).

My eventual plan for the images that I've shared, and those that I'm yet to, is to have them printed into a photo book - easier to show people that way :)

Cheers.

The fog shot is superb and my only comment would be to clone out the route marker lower left.

Awesome fog! Love it.

The second picture has incongruent colors? Did you replace the sky? if so, you should make the reflection of the water much warmer...Maybe something like this [let me know if u want me to take this down]

Although I'm only viewing these from my iPhone browser they all look sensational, esp #2.
