Manfrotto & Macro

Postby sirhc55 on Wed Feb 23, 2005 9:26 pm

I have been asked about what I use when taking macro photographs, other than the lens so though I would post some pics for everyone.

The first image is the Manfrotto macro arm. As can be seen you can mount 2 flash units, if required, and the arms are adjustable. The platform that the camera attaches to can be swung up to the portrait mode and the whole platform can be slid to one side to offset. This is actually quite good for panos.

The next 2 images show the Manfrotto micro slider plate. The lever next to the thumbwheel can be used to move the whole assembly quickly for rough focus. The humbwheel gives 1mm of movement for each turn of the wheel enabling accurate focussing.

I would have to work very fast Mark as I only have the one camera

I will ask Glen or Fozzie to take a shot at Easter when we have our mini macro meet.

I am looking forward to meeting you and Glen at our 'Easter Mini Macro Meet'. I am sure you will be the teacher, and in my case I will be the student, the one with the 'L' plates on.

Goodbye for now,
