I'm baaaaaaack...did ya's miss me? (feel free to lie if you didn't.. its safer that way.. )
Anyways I've been busy... but I've also been to Bangkok, London and Germany.. so apologies in advance to me boring you all to tears with my travel shots over the next couple of weeks.. Here's a few from Bangkok.. where I discovered that they don't actually have any road rules.. alright they might have em but they certainly don't follow them and somehow this madness actually seems to work.. go figure.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...Welcome home (and I'm off to China this afternoon for a 2 week photo tour - woohoo!)
The shot from the back of the tuktuk is a beauty! Wonderful colours and composition - really feels like being there (white knuckles and all!). Looking forward to seeing some more of your travel images. Frank My photo gallery: http://www.frankalvaro.net

Re: I'm baaaaaaack...DidjaHavaGoodTime?
Love the third one: the use of a slow shutter speed and the wide angle makes for a great image, doesn't it? And the second reminds me of when I was in Genoa, but this is on smaller scale. In Genoa I took off from a set of lights, literally surrounded by the buzz of a school of Vespas and Piagios. It was actually quite frightening ... But riding sidesaddle on a motorbike, and without a bash hat? That's living dangerously. (welcome back) g.

Re: I'm baaaaaaack...Love the photos, brings back memories of being in Bangkok and Thailand, i certainly know what you mean about the road rules, its bloody scary over there on the road at times! And the Tuk Tuk's, hole crap! Those things can be quick and bloody scary, its even worse when you blind drunk! I want to go back now after looking at the photos, nice work!
Life is all about ass, you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...cool ...

Oh I can hear my Mother now lecturing me about the company I kept ...... 'Real' ladies are not the ones sit with their knees together - real ladies are the ones that keep their knees together.
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...Bindii - missed your wonderful sense of humour...welcome back. I like all the shots, but for me #3 is the stand out.

Re: I'm baaaaaaack...And there I was thinking that you had been banned, but were let back in on a good behaviour bond.
Guess we're not safe after all. Nice pics..... bet you enjoyed your travels too. Old D200+extras
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...Loved them ....wow great urban images
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...Bindi - welcome back.
I missed you (and if this is the quality of image you were taking whilst away, then I DEFINITELY missed you!) These are great. I particularly like the 3rd image. The colour contrast, symmetry and patterns are really appealing. I'd be interested to know about your post processing techniques on these if you care to share? 1st image - The background looks desaturated, yes? 2nd image - Great angle, what was your vantage point for this. 4th image - I like the eye contact you have from the girl - taking people candids could be considered as gutsy. Nice work and I look forward to seeing more of your travel pics! Geoff

Re: I'm baaaaaaack...
Thanks everyone!!! Its kinda nice to be back! and Geoff... the third image was taken 1 stop below (as it was terribly glary)then I loaded three images into the computer at different exposures and they were given a bit of hdr to conteract the shadows.. and yes the first was ever so slightly desaturated.. the second was taken from a walkway that was above the road.. and gusty is my second name.... just saying.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...Great captures Bindii..
It must be my monitor but they seem blurry in odd areas with areas of gray in others with halos esp in the first?? Hmm.. Maybe monitor needs recalibration... Love the Tuk..been there and exactly how it feels!
Re: I'm baaaaaaack...As above, welcome back. I like the 3rd one too. Do you use a special action for the frames?
