From My Snow Trip.....

Here are a few from my snow trip, i would have loved to have been able to get these guys and girls front on, but it was hard enough to trek up with mountain in Dunlop Volleys and not get cleaned up by some of the grommets and that, let alone get accross to the other side of the jumps!

Feel free to pick them to pieces, in fact, please do!

Well, as you say, they would definitely be better front on. I think the second is lacking something, can't quite pinpoint it though. Maybe a different crop would help, it seems the action is very small, although you need the snow to show the height. You have done well on the exposure, nothing is too blown out. This probably doesn't help at all, sorry!

Dunlop Volleys on the snow....you're The Man. :) :) :)

Here's my suggestions...you need to be up a lot closer and you need to shoot more interesting angles. I'm not going to stick any of my snowboard photos on this thread but there's a few on my smugmug site in the PB Junior Pro 2007 gallery (Sports Gallery) and the Snowsports gallery where I try to do what I say, if not always successfully.

Anyway its nearly all over for another year

I was up there in volleys, boardies and a t shirt shooting, about the same as i was wandering around in all week, certainly get some wierd looks when you jump off a lift in t shirt and boardies strapped to a snowboard when everyone else is rugged up

I was having trouble getting some good footing and didnt have a better lens than the kit 300 from canon, now replaced by a 400 though. I was going to wander over to the other side and near the base and sides of the jump, but was having trouble with my footing, and there were guys coming down at a very rapid rate with little space between them so decided that it was prob a bad idea, and your right, its almost over for another year, im certainly staying up there longer next year, the week wasnt enough!

Cheers for the insight though mate!
