Hi folks I can't afford a facelift or other cosmetic surgery, so I am changing my name by deed poll. So long to that boring old fart (BOF) "cricketfan". RIP! Stupid name for a photographic forum anyway. It was a hand-me-down from my first days on the net, years ago. Say hello to "the foto fanatic", which more aptly describes my interests these days. Otherwise, still the same person - just no longer a BOF. Maybe! I hope!

My sports progression: cricket, basketball, rugby, table tennis, squash, tennis, golf. Played regular fixtures in them all; with greater ability/success in some more than others. I am still a cricket fan(atic), these days watching, not playing. Cricket was the sport I would have liked be really good at, but my actual level was never higher than enthusiastic amateur. I am built more like a rugby player, and made a better fist of that. Haven't made it to lawn bowls yet - and it's not high on my agenda. We have plenty of other sports nuts here. Oneputt is obviously a golfer, but I know that he was also a pretty good rugby player. IIRC, Reschsmooth still plays cricket. We have keen surfers and divers, too. What sports do others indulge in?

If that's what it's called - they don't call me "half-track Pat" for nothing! Actually, they don't call me that, I just made it up. Cricket is one of the few sports where you get to stand in the blistering sun for 5 or so hours and then can justifiably call it "exercise" (at the pub, of course).

So long as you stay an excellent forum seller. The 80-400 is getting love and a bit of use...... and it just got a RRS lens foot too. Cheers -- Ian PS. Any more great bargains going on preloved lenses

Ian I'm glad that the lens is getting good use. I think my lens range is just about OK now, so no current lens bargains. I might sell my D200 though. Cheers
