Re: From a desert trip.Cool shot. Well framed and beautifully sharp.
Was that really shot with a D2X and (70-)200mm lens?
Re: From a desert trip.Gorgeous!
Reminds me of the game kids used to play - where you try to sneak up on the person at the front, and then freeze when they turn around. How cool would it be to have a neck that flexible! Where abouts was this taken? *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
Re: From a desert trip.ATJ yes it was. I found it when I was going through some old files. It was shot on a trip in 2006 (pre D3 days ), in the northen Simpson Desert.

Re: From a desert trip.
I love the smell of coincidence in the morning. Leon, we used to play that game last week....I mean as kids, and called it "red light" - the coincidence lies in Oneput's avatar. I see these things! Seriously, great shot. Very well framed and captured. Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: From a desert trip.
Hmmm... we used to call it "What's the time Mr Wolf".
Re: From a desert trip.Looks like a very well feed Brown Falcon from that angle
