Canon 400D - Error 05Hey
I am a relatively new user of a lovely Canon400D (which I totally adore) but on saturday I took my baby out for a bushwalking trip and it started playing up on me. When i tried to get my inbuilt flash to pop up I kept getting the message "error 05 inbuilt flash obstruted turn camera off and on" and having turned it off and on repeatedly it didnt seem to fix the problem. there was definately nothing obstructing the flash nor really any dirt of what not that we could see. I was all set to run over to canon today but yesterday my baby seems to have healed her self and its working fine atm. Just wondering if anyone's come across anything like this or has any clues?
Re: Canon 400D - Error 05Not had the issue with mine- but had a bit of a google. Check this out.
http://www.flickr.com/groups/400d/discu ... 959470700/ It seems its either the mechanism for lifting the flash or it thinks there is an external flash attached. hopefully just a bit of crap in there so might be able to be cleaned out. hopefully it doesnt happen again Welcome to the forum! maybe you could post some pictures for us all to see. Re: Canon 400D - Error 05I took my baby to the canon service place in north ryde - a bloody long drive- but yes i got it back last week supposedly nothing at all was wrong with her... just hiccups i guess... (although it happned a second time and we checked the micro switch and that seemed to have been the issue but meh) .... i ended up with a new camera strap somehow dont quite know what happened there but yes... happy to have her back safe and sound though.
