Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

This week's 'winner' in my humble eye is newcomer [kane] for his sunrise shoot with the moon! I loved this the second I saw it and hats off to him for getting up so early and making the effort to get such a terrifically well composed shot. (well done for ruling the moon!). I hope this encourages newer members to get in there and have a go, post away on this wonderful forum and share your skills, knowledge and questions with our unique and fantastic community. Take a bow, Kane. Orginal post hereAnd the image:

Wow Thanks guys! your right I did not know about this... do now ;P I frequent a few groups on Flickr and then spend a bit of time on the overclocksers photography forum. I have been browsing this forum daily, there are some talented photographers here with awesome shots. Regarding getting up early... on this day I had organised a meet up from 3am at Wellington Point (where photo is taken) with the Brisbane Meet up group on Flickr (for all the Brisbane people here) http://www.flickr.com/groups/brisbane_meetup/I'll be sticking around ;p Talk soon, and thanks again for all your comments.
