Where to sell a camera?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can tell me where the best place would be to sell a camera? I am wanting to sell my Olympus E410 so I can upgrade. The camera is only 12 months old. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum Liz. Trading Post or Ebay would be the best bet, but be prepared to take a hit, digital cameras drop very fast. We also have a for sale section here, but it is only for members (50 posts or more), it helps reduce spam and lessens the chance of poor behaviour as many parties know each other.

I've looked on Ebay and the Trading Post and there isn't too much on there. I'm not even sure how much it would be worth.

Hi Liz, the amount you saw is probably reflective of sales in the market place, the Olympus brand isn't as popular as Nikon and Canon so consequently less are around in s/h sales. I would guess around 60% of purchase price would be a starting point, depending on shutter actuations and condition.
