Apollo Bay Sunrise - my first HDRI've been so busy and tired that I felt the need to get away from everything and everyone and went and stayed down in Apollo Bay over the weekend. I thought it might be a good opportunity to take some beach shots, so woke up at 5:30am on Saturday morning to try my hand at a sunrise HDR shot
Unfortunately the focus was a bit off so the scene is a bit soft, but otherwise I think I'm fairly happy with it All constructive criticism is absolutely wanted - 3 months in now and I think I'm only beginning to feel a little comfortable here in dSLR land! Re: Apollo Bay Sunrise - my first HDRlooks awesome, I have never gotten HDR to work even on a tripod. Did you use CS2 or CS3?

Re: Apollo Bay Sunrise - my first HDR
Thanks I still feel the scene lacks some depth and is a bit flat, but I shot in RAW so I can go back and have another play when I get time I put them together in photomatix, then used Lightroom v1 to tweak the colours a little, then resized and waterstamped in CS2 (which is really the only thing I use it for!) Re: Apollo Bay Sunrise - my first HDRI use Nikon Capture NX2 to do my RAW processing, catalogue using Lightroom and use CS2 to watermark. All my past failed attempts to HDR were using CS2, I'll have to investigate and see if I can find the function in Capture NX2.
You used a tripod for your photos right? Cameron
