Strange effect from Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8Hey guys,
Just thought I would post this photo after talking to Glen about it. I was shooting a fire twirling practice at uni and when I reviewed my shots I noticed that a few of them gave me this result. I have checked the filter (Hoya Super HMC - my only one, I prefer Marumi (Kenko - Stubbsy tells me) DHG's) and the lens, nothing seems to be wrong with either. Anyone else seen this?? Cameron

Re: Strange effect from Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8Not yet, but then again I haven't taken many pics of fire twirling. Did you have the lanes hood on, I wonder if it a reflection off that, the shape looks like it would be right.

Happens with and without the lens hood actually. That was my first thought on the issue, then I checked the filter. Neither seems to be contributing to it greatly. It kind of works in this image and only occurs under these obscure conditions so I am not too worried. Cameron
