angry young manWell, and angry young golden headed cisticola We were out this morning doing a survey in the rain at 5.30, and I had my camera in a glad bag (as usual LOL). We must have come close to a cisticola nest, and this little one was giving us what for (at 6.30) - I'm sure if I could understand 'bird' I would be quite shocked !! Crap shot (rain, between a lot of thick grass), but I was kind of happy with the colours (should have been a lot sharper, but it really started raining after this) Then it was off to Maccas for a hot coffee, pancakes and maple syrup (well, we were wet and cold LOL)

Re: angry young manCool shot, Rel - despite the less than perfect conditions. I like the watm colours too.

Re: angry young manLove the colours however you can consider getting rid of the subtle greens on the left lower area if you wanted to completely clean it up. Great capture especially at f2.8!
Re: angry young manI quite like it as...is. It is just a beautiful shot with winter colours.
Re: angry young manvery nice, I like the bokeh

Re: angry young manRel,
I'd be very happy with this one, well done Just one small nit, off-topic, you say:
Being a Canuck, I want to keep the good reputation of maple syrup and at Maccas, they don't have any maple syrup, just:

I know, but I like sugar water I suppose next time I go there I can take my bottle of 'true blue' maple syrup with me (and yes, we do have a proper bottle of maple syrup in the cupboard) Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams
