Anyone Have a Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye?

Postby aim54x on Thu Oct 16, 2008 1:33 pm

I am tempted to get a fisheye - but cannot afford a Nikkor 10.5mm and it is not that high on my list of 'needs' - so i was wondering if anyone has a Zenitar that can either let me borrow or post pics taken with it on a DX crop camera. BTW if anyone is willing to lend me their 10.5 Nikkor I would not mind that either.

pretty sure this one was taken with my Zenitar 16/2.8 FE but on a pentax and probably the old *istDs [1.5 crop]

with horizon in the centre its hard to pick its a fisheye due to only using the centre portion of the Manual focus Full Frame lens but tilt up or down and you get the effect.
nice contrasty lens and really excellent value.

Thanks big red, that was what i was afraid of. I cant afford a good fisheye (10.5mm DX) and really dont want to buy DX glass but I guess there is no winning this one.
