Best place for Lowepro

Postby Jeff on Sat Oct 25, 2008 11:11 pm

With Christmas approaching I thought I might suggest to the family a new camera bag for me, never have too many bags.
Where is the best place to source Lowepro bags?

Thanks
Jeff

I got mine from qualitycamera.com.au. I got it the next day and the price was good. Ive seen the same bags on ebay from china sellers for about 1/4 of the price or even less but these are FAKE bags and many people have problems with zippers, etc down the track which lowepro don't cover under their warranty (limited lifetime).

Lowepro.com.au has an article warning of fake bags: http://www.maxwell.com.au/lowepro/lowepro_fakes.html.

I am very dissapointed with Lowpro, I recently picked up the Pro Trekker from Adorama.

I had a good look at them all, as one would when you pay in the shop's here about $550.00.

I did much better than that when the dollar was good a few months ago.

The add's showing the bag showed a 400 2.8, two bodies, about six or eight lenses and a bunch of other gear.

BULLSHIT!!!!!!

Mine is bursting at the seams with a 400 2.8, 17-55 2.8 70-200 2.8, two SB800's, one SB900, a D200 and a D300. There is no storage for cards or batteries, I am waiting for the zip's to let go. The back pack that comes with the bag is chockers as well!

Have a good look before you buy Lowpro, I have one Tamrac Pro 12, I should have looked at Tamrac's other option's

best local deals I find if I walk into the sales office of the importers, such as CR Kennedy, and if its in stock downstairs I can get a pretty sweet deal on a bag. not sure of the importers north of the ditch, but sure you have them up there now that the electricity has been installed...
