Hi can anyone help me on Nikon Capture

Postby sji on Mon Oct 11, 2004 10:30 pm

I was trying to use the Nikon Capture Free Trial from my PC (window98 second edtion). Every time when I launched it, the NC always said 'No camera connected...', but the camera was definitelly connected and on and if I run Nikon Project and transfer pictures to my PC, NP was working.
So this shouldn't be a connection problem. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? I was trying to upload some curves to my camera.

Thanks!

There are two connection modes on the camera. I think they are called MSD (mass storage device) and PTP (point to point) or similar. These are not the right names but close. You want to be in PTP to upload curves. Check on the menu, it is under the spanner, then scroll to usb, then check which one you are on.

Good luck

Thank you very much Glen! It's working now, it's the Mass Storage problem.

One more question, how many custom curves can be loaded into the camera? Only one?

Much appreciated if you could answer this question!

Thank you Greg :D I can also inform you the system will not accept a single digit message, so that is why the full stop is there.
