So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Shot in front of a black background with a flash CR and slightly behind smoke. Then choose your incence and let it do its job. I had camera on tripod and was releasing shutter via a cable. I just used my hands or breath to try and create different movements in the smoke. The top pics are just colour temp adjustments. To get a white background just invert the colours, and the last is almost straight out of camera. I also used a white or black brush to get rid of any unwanted smoke... D4, D700, plus glass from 14mm to 200mm

Re: SmokeDelicate imagery Jonesy. Love the last one. Would not be out of place as an add for Warcraft or one of those insane 'select your own weapon' computer games. Looks decidedly like a diabolical dagger.
