Flickr.....any alternatives?

Postby aim54x on Wed Nov 05, 2008 5:15 pm

Hey guys,

I have hit a limit on Flickr and it is asking me to either let it hide anything older that 200 images or go pro. It is not expensive (grr poor performing AUD) but I was wondering if there is anything similar that is in YOUR opinion better?

Thanks
Cameron

I to have recently had problems with flickr, but a different nature. They would not recognise my username and password and could not retireve it via my "secret question". Anyhow I have moved to photobucket. Easy to set up and no problems so far.

I have been using pbase for about 4 years now. It costs me about $30 a year but that's not going to break the bank. I've never had any problems with them.

Also Zenfolio.

Worth noting that most anything worth using long term will be a pay service...

I cant believe I did not think of this earliar!!

Actually I am being rather stupid, I should just use my own website!! I have 20GB of storage already paid for for another 2.5yrs now to find out how to do it. ATM I am using a Joomla interface with a template that was written by a friend of a friend (I do want to replace it but do not have the know how or the time) and am using a expose4 gallery anyone know a good way mod this so I can use it like a flickr account?
